It's human nature to experience varying levels of motivation. It's much easier to train with intensity when you have an end goal in mind. Since I have decided to take a little time away from the stage, I found my motivation to be waning. I was still hitting the gym, but I didn't have a solid plan for what I wanted to do with my time in the gym.
So, I sat down and began to write my main objective goals. I want to work on building my legs and shoulders again, and also bring my bench press up to 185 lbs. I was vaguely aware of my goals, but it's completely different to see them written out. I began to research training splits for strength, and worked on incorporating them into my aesthetic training.
My motivation and fire has returned. I created a solid training plan and more importantly, I am now able to visualize achieving those goals. Take a few minutes and think about what you wish to accomplish. Do you want to run a faster 5K, improve your strength, become explosive, or be able to do an unassisted pull up? Write down your main goals, and mini-goals that will help you reach your main goals. Success begins with the mind. If you can visualize it, you can achieve it.
For me, I have added size to my legs, and am benching 165 lbs. I’m getting one step closer to my goals! BetaTOR has helped me gain lean mass, as I'm able to lift those few extra reps each set!!
Thank you for reading! Until next time, train hard, y'all!!
