Team BetaTOR is proud to have Bryan Dermody and Nick Weite participate in the 2016 Arnold International Pro Deadlift this past weekend.
This year was the 6th appearance at the Arnold Pro Deadlift for Bryan Dermody and even though he’s on the mend from a back injury that didn’t stop Bryan from putting on a good show. He made his first attempt at 325 kg (716 lbs.) look easy and had the bar loaded to 345 kg (760 lbs.) for his second attempt. He grinded it out, but was able to lock it out for a good lift. Bryan called for 355 kg (782 lbs.) for his 3rd attempt and unfortunately wasn’t able to pull it.
Nick Weite stepped on the platform to defend his championship title from last year. He opened up with an easy 355 kg (782 lbs.) and called for 380 kg (837 lbs.) for his second attempt. After another good lift, Nick decided to go for a World Record and called for 410 kg (903 lbs.). From the start of the pull Nick’s technique was a little off and he wasn’t able to lock it out.
After the dust settled Bryan was awarded 4th for the Men’s Heaviest Deadlift and Nick was awarded 2nd in the Wilks Deadlift and Men’s Heaviest Deadlift. Be sure to check out their solid performances in the video below.
