Incorporating BetaTOR into an intense training cycle has shown to help improve body composition by building muscle and losing body fat.
Supplementing with BetaTOR has shown to improve body composition by increasing both lean muscle mass gain and body fat loss.
Body composition in strength-training men was measured using dual x-ray absorptiometry (DXA, the gold standard) over a 12-week study (Wilson et al., 2014). BetaTOR-supplemented participants gained 7.4 kg (over 16.3 lbs.) of lean body mass compared with placebo-supplemented participants who gained 2.1 kg (4.6 lbs.), a 250% increase in lean muscle mass gain. Not only did the participants build more lean muscle mass, they lost more fat mass. BetaTOR supplementation resulted in a 5.4 kg (11.9 lbs.) fat mass loss while placebo-supplemented participants lost only 1.7 kg (3.7 lbs.) of fat mass, a 210% increase in fat loss.
Studies have shown that BetaTOR also boosts muscle thickness.
Muscle thickness is another measure of muscle hypertrophy. Quadriceps thickness was measured by ultrasonography, and BetaTOR-supplemented participants had a 14.3% increase in quadriceps thickness compared with placebo-supplemented participants who only had a 4.8% increase in thickness. BetaTOR supplementation resulted in a 200% increase in muscle thickness compared with placebo supplementation over the 12-week study.
