Ironman Wisconsin Results

September 13, 2017

On Sunday, September 10th the inaugural Ironman Wisconsin commenced in Madison.  The race began at Lake Monona with a one-loop swim then ventured 16 miles out of town to begin two 40-mile loops on the bike and ended with athletes running a challenging course of two loops through downtown Madison.  Athlete TJ Tollakson started off with a good swim coming out towards the front of the pack with a time of 49:36.  Going into the bike portion Andrew Starykowicz stormed ahead to the front of the pack, but TJ Tollakson and Luke McKenzie stayed close behind while the rest of the field fell well off the pace.  TJ stayed consistent in his run and crossed the finish line with an overall time of 8:28:17 to give him a 2nd place podium finish.

We are very proud of TJ’s performance and wish him the best of luck at his next event: Ironman 70.3 Austin in October.
