BetaTOR works by two mechanisms. BetaTOR enhances protein synthesis in the muscle through the mTOR pathway, which stimulates the initiation of protein synthesis. BetaTOR additionally decreases protein breakdown by the ubiquitin-proteasome proteolytic pathway.
